Getting into coaching is a great opportunity for self development and to gain the expert knowledge to help your football club or team thrive.

Coaching courses are where you can gain experience in a supported environment and learn new ideas and concepts to take back into your club football.

Army FA runs a variety of different courses which can be booked in Development & Courses.

FAQs

An FA Level 1 course will provide you with your first taste of The FA’s playing and coaching philosophy – the England DNA - through the four key components; How We Coach, How We Support, The Future Player and How We Play. Not only this, but on completion of the course you will achieve the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification. This will enable you to coach confidently and competently in your own environment.

All course bookings are taken online, through the FA's participant system. Once you have successfully booked onto a course, you will receive a notification via email.

No, all learners who have yet to start their qualifications must start with an FA Level 1 course.

You don't need to be with a club to complete the FA Level 1 in Coaching course, but you will need to have access to players.

You will need to complete the FA Emergency Aid and FA Safeguarding Children workshops. These are included as part of the FA Level 1 Course structure. Our policies and procedures section will further explain some of the terms and conditions around our courses.
