FA Youth Award Module 2

Coaching Support

Football is for everyone.

The FA is here to ensure everyone who participates has a great experience – regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability or disability, faith or age.

In this section you'll find information about support initiatives and training opportunities to help you improve as a coach, be safe in your coaching and the environments you create, and access on-the-ground support when you need it.

Safeguarding and Welfare

SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY

Everyone in football has a responsibility to make our game safe and enjoyable. This is particularly true for coaches. A coach is in a privileged position. The nature of the role means he/she can have significant influence over children and young people and develop relationships of trust with children and their parents/carers. It’s therefore important that coaches understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

Find out how The FA and the Army FA manages safeguarding nationally and locally, and how the strategy applies to you.
