New Management Team For Army Masters

Major Lee Davison and SSgt Carl Lawrence appointed to Army Masters Management Team

The Army FA are delighted to announce the appointment of Major Lee Davison in the role of the Army Masters Team General Manager and SSgt Carl Lawrence who has been selected as the Head Coach.

Lee has been involved in Army football for many years and is currently the President of the Royal Army Physical Training Corps Football Team. In the past he was a member of the coaching team for the Army Men representative squad under the then Head Coach, Lee Dyson (now Army Lottery Manager). Lee returned to assist Capt Joe Collins with the Army Masters team throughout last season, being involved in winning both the Inter Services, the European Masters Games in Finland as well as a successful overseas visit to Australia against the Australian Forces. Lee is keen to build on the excellent foundations set by Lt Col (Retd) Richie Bell (Royal Signals) who has stepped down from his role. Richie will be recognised formally for his outstanding service to Army Football.

The New Head Coach SSgt Carl (SSI) Lawrence (Lorro) RAPTC joined the Army in 2008 and served 14 years with 2 Royal Anglian before transferring over to The Royal Army Physical Training Corps in 2022. SSgt Lawrence represented Luton Town, Doncaster Rovers and Lincoln City before later moving into the non-league game representing clubs including Ilkeston Town, Nuneaton Borough, Coalville Town and various other non-league teams across the Midlands. More recently, Lawrence has represented both the Army Masters and the RAPTC FC, and was part of the Masters IS Cup Winners Team. He has more recently been working with the Army U23’s as assistant coach and now steps in take over as head coach for the Masters this season. His vast experience and passion for the game can only help a well-established team that has already made its mark in Army Football across the globe, winning cup competitions in both Finland and Australia.
