Women's Corps Leagues Winners 2023

REME and AMS Win Women's Corps Leagues

A fantastic final day of the season was held at the impressive facilities at Harborough Town FC as all eight Women’s Corps teams played the final schedule of the two leagues.

In a pulsating Cpl Channing Day Division 1 decider two late goals secured a 3-3 draw for REME v RLC to secure the title. A victory for RLC would have been sufficient for them to win the league.

Despite a 3-1 defeat Royal Engineers avoided relegation as opponents AGC required one more goal to have avoided the drop on goal difference.

The Division 1 trophy was presented by Lesley and Rosemary Day, parents of Channing Day whose life was taken on 24 October 2012 whilst deployed on Op Herrick in Afghanistan.

In the Lily Parr Division 2 Army Medical Services are champions and promoted after a 2-0 win v Intelligence Corps. Royal Artillery were victors v Royal Signals in their final match.

Thank you to Sponsors F5, represented by Grant Martin, for your fantastic support to Women’s Corps Football and to Harborough Town for superb hosting.
