There was joy at the Aldershot Military Stadium for RMA Sandhurst (PS) on Wednesday evening (26 April) as they retained the Army FA Minor Units Cup.

A 4-1 victory versus Wimbish based 29 EOD and S GSU was recorded with a brace of goals from Pte Fenton Andrews and LCpl Stu Lea to secure a 4-1 victory. The youngest player in the 29 EOD squad, Spr Finn Lloyd-Butler, netted their goal.

RMA’s CSgt Ferg Harrison was awarded Player of the Match which was presented by Towergate Insurance representative Pam Howson. We are indebted to the wonderful sponsorship of Towergate which heads into its 40th season in 2023/24.

Capt Kev Haley, Trustee for Unit Football, hosted the post-match presentation. It was also poignant for RMA Manager/Coach WO1 Gav Bloomfield who added a successive Minor Units Cup medal to his Major Units Cup medal having led 7 Regt RLC to victory in the Army Challenge Cup previously.
