Royal Signals Festival of Football

The Royal Signals Festival of Football for both Men and Women was held at MOD Stafford at the end of August. Over 120 players took part with thirteen men’s teams in the 7-A-Side Championship and six women’s teams playing 5-A-Side for the Kay Cup. The teams all enjoyed a sunshine filled day with the Men’s Competition being won by 16 Sig Regt, 10 Sig Regt taking home the Plate. In the Women’s competition Perham Down won the Kay Cup with the Plate being picked up by 16 Sig Regt.

Match Official Sgt Craig Jinks has been a regular supporter of this event and will be leaving the Army later this year. He has been an Army FA Official for over 20 years and provided superb commitment and during this period. We wish him all the success in the future.
