Womens Coaching Roles Appointed
The Army Football Association is delighted to confirm two appointments to the Army Womens Representative structure supporting Head Coach WO1 Mags McAteer.
Sgt Lee Barry becomes Assistant Coach. For the past five years Sgt Barry has coached the Infantry Corps Mens team and has been involved in winning the Massey Trophy Division 2 and Boulder Cup whilst also reaching the final of the Woolwich Cup.
He also has representative experience too having been a Coach for the successful Under 23 Mens Inter Services squad last season. With over 18 years service in the Armed Forces he was also selected to represent the Army FA in Bahrain last season providing masterclass coaching sessions to the Bahrain Football Federation.
Cpl Nikki O’Donnell has been appointed Goalkeeping Coach. An Army player for seven years Nikki has also represented the UK Armed Forces and AGC Corps. Originally from Glasgow Nikki has played for Celtic Ladies, Glasgow City Ladies and has represented Scotland. Her greatest achievement is playing in the European Championship Finals in Hungary at U19 level.
We welcome both Lee and Nikki to the Army FA Womens Representative structure.
