Coaching football in the Army FA

All courses can now be booked online. You can enrol on your chosen course and make a secure payment by credit or debit card.

Once you have found the course you wish to apply for, please ensure you have an FA number (FAN) and password to make your booking. If it is the first time you have applied for a course, guidelines will be provided to advise you how to acquire an FA number.

Become a Coach

The FA Level 1 is the first step on the FA Coach Education Pathway. If you want to start, or are currently coaching football and wish to learn more, this is the perfect course for you.

FA Grassroots Coach


The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football leads to the achievement of the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football qualification.

In order to understand the coaching of players, coaches need to understand themselves, their players and the game itself. This course will support learners along this process both on-course and in their own coaching environment.
