The Army and Royal Navy finished all square at the Aldershot Military Stadium in the Inter Service Under 23 Competition sharing the newly commissioned Joe Collins Trophy. The final score was 1-1 with goals from Matt Iceton (Royal Navy) and a late equaliser from Owen-Paul James (Army) in a truly entertaining game of football.
This was the first match in the Inter Service Under 23 Competition playing for the new Joe Collins Trophy for the match between the Army U23 and Royal Navy U23. This is a well deserved accolade for Joe who has been a wonderful ambassador for Army Football both as a player and coach.
Joe Collins presented the trophy to the Captains of both teams at the end of the match.
