The 2024 Inter Services provided four competitive tournaments played at venues throughout the country.

The Under 23 competition saw the Royal Navy successful in lifting the Inter Service crown for the second year running in the final match with a 1-0 success v the RAF in Portsmouth. The other two matches resulted in a 2-0 win for the RAF v the Army at Rayners Lane FC and a 1-1 draw between the Army and the Royal Navy at the Aldershot Military Stadium.

The second recognised Masters Competition resulted in a win this year for the RAF. In the first match the RAF came out on top with a 2-1 win against the Army at Alton FC. The second match went the way of the Army over the Royal Navy with a 3-2 win at Portsmouth. The RAF went into the final match knowing a draw against the Royal Navy was enough to lift the trophy. However, they left nothing to chance and an emphatic 5-0 victory to the RAF saw them Inter Service Masters Champions 2024.

The RAF were again deserved winners of the Women’s Williamson Trophy with a strong performance in the first match versus the Army culminating in a 2-0 success at Aldershot Town FC. The second match saw a competitive encounter at Havant & Waterlooville FC where the Royal Navy edged a tight match 1-0 against the Army. The final match was a ‘winner takes all’ between the RAF and the Royal Navy although a draw for the RAF would have clinched the title on goal difference. The result was 1-0 to the RAF and they were duly crowned Inter Service Champions for 2024.

The Royal Navy won the Men’s Constantinople Cup with wins against both the Army and the RAF. In the opening match of the competition the RAF came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against the Army at Aldershot Town FC. The Royal Navy then beat the Army 2-1 in a closely fought match at Portsmouth FC. The final match, played at Shrewsbury Town FC, was again a ‘winner takes all’ between the RAF and the Royal Navy although a draw for the RAF would deem them winners by virtue of goals scored. The result was 2-1 to the Royal Navy which saw them Inter Service Champions for 2024.

We are grateful for the attendance of our sponsors and supporters at all Inter Service matches. We also extend our appreciation to Aldershot Town FC and Alton FC for hosting our Inter Service matches this season.
