Game of Remembrance

Games of Remembrance

The Games of Remembrance staged in Nottingham attracted over 13,000 spectators to commemorate 100 years since the end of The Great War.

We want to thank you all, fans, sponsors, charities, players and personnel who joined us at the Games of Remembrance.
A huge thank you to Fujitsu & Experian and all our other sponsors for helping us put the event on.

We cannot thank Nottingham Forest & Notts County Football Club enough, for all the support they gave us both on and off the pitch.

Thanks to the Bundeswehr for their incredible spirit, support & allowing us to put on this incredible event and congratulations on your success in the two matches; a 2-1 victory in the Womens fixture at Meadow Lane followed by a 3-1 success in the men equivalent at the City Ground. The experience of all the players will live with them for many, many years to come.

And our partners including the National Football MuseumThe Woodland TrustNever Such Innocence, Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Council and the Lord Lieutenant of Nottingham.

Finally, thank you for attending, supporting us & the players and most importantly, joining us to commemorate those who served over the last century, both within and outside our football community.

There will be further reviews of the event over the next few weeks but, for now, it is imperative to show our appreciation to all.
