The Army Women's Team hosted Tottenham Hotspur Women' Team at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst

On Thursday 6th Oct 22 the Army Women’s Football Team hosted FA Women’s Super League Team Tottenham Hotspur WFC at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS).

They enjoyed a day training alongside each other at Sandhurst and Aldershot which enabled players on both sides to trade tips and knowledge of skills in football, teamwork and leadership.

The day started off with a tour of Old College followed by a presentation from SSgt SSI Kemp and OCdt Gabby Collett (AWFT Player).

SSgt Kemp (RAPTC) and Sgt Willis (RAPTC) then facilitated a PT session incorporating an introduction into the Role Fitness Soldier and Log PT with the Army Women’s Football Team leading the way.

Themes included: communication, leadership and teamwork, which are not only important within the Army but also resonate on the football pitch.

Tottenham Hotspur WFC coaching staff then took both teams for a coaching session at the Army Football Development Centre in Aldershot.

SSgt Kemp “This was a fantastic day and only the start of our relationship between the two clubs. We have been invited back to Tottenham in the New Year which the players are very excited about”
