Men Triumph in Inter Services

Army Men lift The Constantinople Cup for a third successive season

Army Men lifted the Inter Services Constantinople Cup for a third successive season with a comprehensive 4-1 victory at Shrewsbury Town FC versus the RAF.

A brace from Callum Wilkinson (RLC) and goals from Royal Signal pair Peter Williams and Luke Noble secured the win in Shropshire as the Army came from behind to win.

Goalkeeper Luke Cairney (RE) also saved a first half penalty with the match level in the first half. A tremendous effort from the Army men followed on from last weeks 7-3 success versus the Royal Navy at Aldershot Town FC; the highest Inter Service score since 1959 when the Army defeated the Navy 8-2. Victory versus the Navy also secured the Southern Counties Cup (a county cup competition also involving Middlesex and Amateur FA) and Mercury Cup.
