The Royal Signals Football Association has been an integral participant in Inter- Corps football from the onset and has been continuosly linked with the Quadrangular Tournament since its inauguration over 40 years ago.
Despite its position as one of the major Corps sides, triumph was limited to three successes between the inaugural competition in 1970 and 2001 (winners in 1977, 1982 and 1987). Following a near iss in 2001 there was a sense that the Royal Signals were on the verge of something special.
The last 10 years have seen particular success, and the Royal Signals Football team have been the leading light in both the Quadrangular Tournament and the Massey Trophy. The Corps went on to win five Quads in a row (2003/07), a feat that almost matched the REME's six in a row in the early years of the competition (1969/75).
Likewise the Massey Trophy, having not won its first title until 2002/03 the Royal Signals have subsequently gone on to win in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009.
